Conflict: Racism

The conflict in The Bluest Eye is racism. This is a problem because at this time white people are still calling black people "niggers." Pecola and her mother have been considered te foul word. Also it is considered a problem because all the whites are all wealthy and no blacks were payed high money and were still considered slaves or doing work and under whites. Pecola believes she will have a better life cause she has been taught that only whites are able to have a good free life. Noticing the word free. Many whites didnt have to work for what they had because they were the only ones that were taught and able to have high positions. Pauline, mother of Pecola, was considered to be under her boss and had to do whatever she wanted her to do. So Pauline was fired because she had the lower hand and didnt do what she was told.
